Bengaluru: The audio tape released by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy claiming that BJP State Chief BS Yeddyurappa had spoken to a JDS MLA’s son and made offers to lure the sitting MLA to support the BJP had left the BJP in a lurch.
However, an acceptance by BSY that he did speak to the MLA’s son has further caused a lot of embarrassment to the BJP and as per sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is angry at BSY.
The discomfort was evident during PM Modi’s visit to Hubballi-Dharwad. Witnesses say that the PM did not pay any attention to BSY, despite him being seated on the dais.
After attending the event in Dharwad, PM Modi left the venue greeting many leaders who were on the dais, including MLA Amrit Desai but opted to ignore BSY, who was standing close to Desai with folded hands.
The PM then went on to greet Infosys Foundation President Sudha Murthy and exited the venue.
Many say that the reason behind Modi’s anger was obvious. The act of BSY of owning up the blame has caused immense damage to the party and Modi could not hide his anger.
In the second event at Gabbur Cross in Hubballi too, the PM ignored BSY, who was sitting next to him.
