Hubbali: Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol has stood by the decision of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to issue the party’s tickets to the disqualified MLAs to contest in the upcoming by-polls.
Speaking to ANI, he said that there is “no problem” if the disqualified legislators contest on the BJP’s ticket as ultimately, the decision was taken by the party’s high command and they will take care of it.
He also opined that, at this juncture, creating unnecessary issues is not the need of the hour when the national leaders have already decided on the matter.
It can be recalled that, earlier today, CM BSY in his hometown Shikaripur, had clarified that all the disqualified legislators would be issued a BJP ticket to contest in the upcoming by-polls. He had said that Shah and he had made the decision to offer the party tickets to the disqualified MLAs.
