Hubbali: “Hindu Firebrand” and chief of the Sri Rama Sena Pramod Muthalik has condemned the case filed against Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for the students, enactment of the demolition of the Babri Masjid at his school yesterday.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, December 18, he said, “The people who have filed the case against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat are living in a fool’s paradise. Some fringe elements and organizations are trying to instigate the Hindus and trying to spread communal hatred and violence by filing a case against Kalladka Bhat. Demonstrating the demolition of the Babri Masjid has a history and facts are associated with it. By this demonstration, the children will understand the actual reason and history behind it. What is wrong with that?”

“The Popular Front of India (PFI) is unnecessarily trying to ‘fix’ Kalladka Bhat by filing false charges and cases against him. Nobody should paint the demonstration as communal,” he added.

It can be recalled that recently, students of Shri Rama Vidya Kendra, run by RSS top brass in Kalladka, had in a programme during which they demonstrated the historic demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992. A video of this was shared by Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on her Twitter account. She had attended the programme as the chief guest. After the video went viral on social media, PFI activist Abubakkar Siddique filed a complaint in the Bantwal Town Police Station. The police subsequently filed a case under Section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings) and 298 (Uttering, words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of any person) of the Indian Penal Code.

Sources said that the police named four persons in the FIR- Narayan Somayyaji, Vasanth Madhav, Chinnappa Kotian and Kalladka Bhat.
