Hubballi: JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, during his visit to the flood-hit areas of the state, informed that the party would be fielding a candidate each in all the 15 Assembly constituencies where by-polls will be held soon.
Speaking to ANI, the JD(S) leader said, “We are going to field candidates in all 15 seats going to by-elections. My top priority is to help the people out on the streets because of the floods, the worst of which are in 13 districts.”
Hitting out at the BJP led state government, he said. “I will support that party which will work for these people. So far, the people are not happy with the flood-relief work carried out by the state government.”
Asked if the JD(S) will support the BJP in the upcoming by-polls, he replied in the negative, saying that they will not be supporting any party.
