Investors’ meet: State govt receives proposals worth Rs 72,000 crores

Hubballi: The ambitious first investors’ meet of the North Karnataka region began in Hubballi on Friday, February 14. The meet received a good response and on day one, investors assured investment of Rs 72,000 crores in the various districts of the region.

A total of 51 companies are participating in this meet.

The biggest investment proposal was the one signed between the government and Rajesh Exports, which assured investment of Rs 50,000 crores in Dharward’s export segment.

Other major investors include Jettwings Aero Space, Sonali Power etc.

The total employment, post-investment, is expected to be around 90,000.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that the Bengaluru investors meet will start on November 3. “We are committed to making Karnataka the best state for industrial investment,” he said.
