Hubbali: Café Coffee Day Founder V G Siddhartha, who was said to be missing for about 36 hours, was found dead today, on banks of Nethravathi river, at Mulihithlu in Hoige Bazar, Mangaluru on Wednesday, July 31 morning.

Even before his body is cremated, Anti-Corruption Activist S R Hiremath has revealed that Siddhartha was involved in scams.

Addressing the media, he said. “CCD Founder V G Siddhartha was involved in Dark Fibre and Co-Location scam and was mentally disturbed by the torture that a politician was giving to him. A prompt investigation on his death mystery must be carried out.”

“In his alleged death note, the reason for his death has been hidden. The letter seems to have been intentionally written. I urge the government to carry out a detailed investigation on his death”, he added.

Speaking about Siddhartha being allegedly involved in scams, Hiremath said that an element of doubt has cropped up around Siddhartha during the probe into massive scams concerning a Singapore-based company named Alphagraph.

“A politician had mentally harassed him. I’ll not reveal the politician’s name. Keeping aside all his scams for now, I urge both Centre and the state government to conduct a thorough probe into his death mystery”, he added.
