Hubbali: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has expressed his confidence of winning in all the 15 Assembly constituencies, going to polls this week.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, December 3, he said, “The party leaders and I are confident that the BJP will win in all the 15 Assembly constituencies and will continue to be in power for the remaining three and a half years. Our next budget will be a ‘pro-farmer budget’ with new schemes.”
Opining about the voters’ support for the BJP, BSY said, “I have campaigned in all the 15 constituencies twice. Seeing the people’s response, I’m sure that the votes will be in the party’s favour.”
Criticizing the Congress and the JD(S), he said, “In their recent statements, both the Congress and the JD(S) have said that they are united. Their statements will remain as statements because JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and his son and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s statements fluctuate every now and then. It is not necessary to react to their statements.”
“Why are the Congress and JD(S), who are saying that they will come to power after the upcoming by-polls, not able to field any candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election in one vacant seat? This shows that they have accepted their defeat,” he added.
