Kalaburgi: Condemning the Centre’s move of implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR), the Medical Fraternity of Kalaburgi held a protest march on Thursday, January 16.
Hundreds of medical students, who participated in the protest march, were witnessed covering their faces with masks and scarves and hands tied with a black cloth. Protesters held the national flag and shouted the slogan “Hindu Hai Hum”.
The march began from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Circle and culminated in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Meanwhile, the protesters demanded that the Central government revoke both the CAA and NRC.
