Jewargi: Another MLA from the state has tested positive for Covid-19. Jewargi MLA Ajay Singh, a doctor by profession and son of former chief minister Dharam Singh, tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection on Friday, July 10.
Revealing the information himself on Twitter, the Congress leader wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am asymptomatic and will be in quarantine for 2 weeks. Would request the people who were my primary contacts to take the necessary precautions. Do stay safe.”

As Singh, who is the Opposition Chief Whip in the state Legislative Assembly, was in contact with senior Congress leaders in Bengaluru, many are now worried that others might have contracted the infection from him.
