Kalaburagi: An attempt to rape on a Covid -19 patient was reported from the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) here on Tuesday June 8.
The person who attempted to rape the patient is said to be private ambulance driver. It is said that the accused identfied as Pintu has been apprehended and is being interrogated.
The incident happened at the Jayadeva Heartcare Centre of the hospital where the 25-year-old woman was undergoing treatment. When the man tried to force himself on the woman, she let out a scream alerting others. At the point, the accused fleed from the spot.
A case has been registered at Brahmapura Police Station by the victim’s husband and family.
