This TN Lok Sabha candidate filed nomination by paying up Rs 25,000 in coins

A Lok Sabha candidate from Tamil Nadu has gone viral for filing his nomination in a ‘noteworthy’ fashion.

Leaders of political parties are finding innovative ways to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. However, some leaders are taking innovative campaigning to a new high with their unique ways.

On Monday, Kuppalji Devadoss, an independent candidate from Amma Makkal National Party (AMNP), took social media by storm for depositing Rs 25,000 election security money in coins, reported ANI.

He stored the coins in utensils of various shapes and sizes.

According to the new agency, the total amount of the deposit was made up of coins of Rs. 10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Rs. 1 rupee denomination.

When Devadoss arrived at South Chennai Zonal office along with his nomination to contest from South Chennai Lok Sabha seat, he had as many as 13 vessels that were completely filled with coins.

Tamil Nadu goes to polls on April 19 for its 39 parliamentary constituencies.

Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
