Speaking about the effects of suspended particulate matter in our system, Prof. H Paramesh, a pediatric pulmonologist, warns that if PM 2.5 enters our system it can cause a number of respiratory diseases, such as bronchitis, asthma, and pneumonia, and also give rise to a number of non-respiratory complications such as cardiovascular diseases and hypertension.
