Chennai: Actor-politician Kamal Haasan visited SP Balasubrahmanyam at the MGM hospital in Chennai after learning that his condition had turned critical.
Informing that SP Balasubrahmanyam is on life-support, Haasan stated that “all are praying, we can’t say that he is well”. Earlier Haasan had tweeted that SP Balasubrahmanyam would be his ‘voice over’ and he was “SP Balasubrahmanyam’s face” on the big screen.
MGM Hospital, in a medical bulletin, has stated that the veteran playback singer is “extremely critical”, his condition has now warranted “maximum life support”, and the hospital is now ‘closely monitoring his condition’. According to the hospital, his condition has “deteriorated further” during the past 24 hours.
On 21st August, the singer’s son had said that his father had tested negative for the Coronavirus. Two weeks before that, on August 5th, the singer had informed in a video clip posted on Facebook, that he has tested positive after feeling some discomfort of off fever and having chest congestion, Superstar Rajnikanth and scores of celebrities have wished him a speedy recovery.
