Mumbai: Alt Balaji, a subsidiary of Balaji Telefilms run by Ekta Kapoor, is known for bold, explicit and fun content on a digital platform. Now, this platform is set for another web series based on Manju Kapur’s book, “A Married Woman”.
Taking to Instagram, Ekta posted the first look of the web series “A Married Woman” and wrote, “”We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. Manju Kapur’s book “A Married Woman” is a story of a middle-class Delhi-based woman, who has a lovely family with a husband and a kid. But, she gets into an unconventional relationship with a younger woman. The story is set in the backdrop of political and religious turmoil during the Babri Masjid demolition that took place in the year 1992.
It can be noted that this web series is not Ekta’s first attempt to bring Manju’s book to the screen, as her popular daily soap on Star Plus, “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” is also an adaption of another of the writer’s books.
