Completed Vedic Study at Nigamagama Pathashala, Mangaluru, with the inspiration and blessings of Shree Sukritindra Thirtha Swamiji and became Archak in Mulky Shree Venkataramana Temple and also took up Purohitya of Yajmans belonging to Sampige Mane.
He was blessed to be with Shri Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji right from the time he was selected by Shree Sukritindra Thirtha Swamiji for becoming Shishya of Kashi Mutt Samsthan.
The association of that time since 1944 with Shri Sudhindra Swamiji went on becoming a strong bond and in the year when Shri Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji completed 75 years of Deeksha, Shri Bhaskar Bhatmam has left for his final yatra of life. Shri Bhaskar Bhatmam was known for his compassion towards poor people who came to his door step. He is also known for very disciplined life and same discipline with his Purohitya. He started Annadana in Mulky Temple for poor students during his Paryaya. He was devoted to lord Narasimha and conducted abhishek for 50 long years during Prathishta Poornima, which is perhaps unmatched in the history of Mulky Temple. Always praying for others, in the words of Shri Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, Shri Bhaskar Bhatmam would always seek blessings for his Yajmans. At the same time with the the blessings of Shree Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji and Lord Ugra Narasimha, Shri Bhaskar Bhat Mam led a fulfilling life.
He is survived by five daughters and three sons along with their spouses and fourteen grand Children.
