Dharwad: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has questioned former chief minister Siddaramaiah as to how much his party did for the flood victims during the UPA’s regime.
Speaking to the media, he said, “I want to openly challenge Siddaramaiah and the previous UPA regime as to how much funds they released for the flood victims.”
“During the 10-year UPA regime, the state had asked for a total of Rs 44000 crores, but it had released only Rs 4400 crores. But in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA regime the state had asked for Rs 27000 crores, for which it has released Rs 9000 crores, which is just an interim relief. More funds are to be released soon,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister has also mocked Siddaramaiah saying that the latter must understand certain things about the state as well as the Centre and then speak, which would elevate his level of respect towards him.
