Mangaluru: The Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Bondel Parish Unit and Lions Club Mangalore Centennial, in association with Indian Red Cross Society DK Blood Bank, organized a blood donation camp at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, Mangaluru.
On the occasion, Lions Club Zone Chairperson Sabitha Shetty enlightened the audience about the importance of blood donation. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza said that blood donation is the most vital one of the greatest kinds of donation.
A total of 55 units of blood were collected during the camp.
President Catholic Sabha Bondel Unit Wilfred Alvares welcomed the gathering. Lions Club Mangalore Centennial secretary Ashok Pinto delivered a vote of thanks. Preethi D’Souza compeered the event.
Asst. parish priests Rev Fr. Clifford Simon Pinto and Rev Fr. Cyril Lobo, Resident Lions Club Mangalore Lawrence Lobo, Edward Vas, Praveen Co-coordinators Blood Bank, Vice President St Lawrence Church Henbert Pinto, President Catholic Sabha Central Rolfy D’costa and Lions Club Mangalore Centennial Vincent Pereira were also present.
