Chitradurga: In a tragic incident, a Karnataka Sarige bus collided with a lorry near Sanikere in the Challakere taluk on Friday, October 4 night. Three people died on the spot as a result.
The deceased are bus driver Praveen, Vijayakumar and an as-yet-unidentified female passenger. More than ten people were injured in the accident and were rushed to a government hospital in Challakere for treatment. Out of these, two are said to be in a critical condition.
The bus is said to have been travelling from Bengaluru to Ballari when it was rear-ended by the lorry. Both vehicles were severely damaged due to the impact of the accident.
