Chitradurga: The BJP was left red-faced at the national level on Thursday following Karnataka unit chief BS Yeddyurappa’s statement that Indo-Pak tension and airstrike will help the BJP to win 22 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.
Speaking to the reporters in the city, on Wednesday evening BSY stated that for the first time in the last 40 years Indian government has shown the courage and gallantry of attacking the terrorist camps. “Modi has taken revenge against the Pulwama attack,” he said.
“Following this bravery, people want to re-elect Modi to safeguard Indian border. So definitely we will win 22 seats, in the state, ” he said.
It is said that BS Yeddyurappa’s statement has become a national level issue. Congress leaders led by KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao criticised BS Yeddyurappa for making such an insensitive remark and urged him to apologise.
