Chitradurga: In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman, who was abandoned by her husband was seen living on the roadside, with a new born in hand. It is said that even in-laws and her parents refused to give her shelter. The incident is reported from Challakere town of the district on Sunday evening.
According to the police, who have now admitted the mother with her toddler to the Santvana center, Sharadamma, 28 was found on the roadside, near the Marammana temple of the town, with her new born baby. “On December 10, she had delivered a baby boy. When she went to her husband’s house, her in-laws refused to accept her stating that they never wanted her as the daughter in-law. Her husband too stood by his family,” informed police.
If this wasn’t enough, even her own parents too refused to give her shelter as they too said that she had married the man of her choice against their wish.
“Finally, we admitted her to the taluk hospital and sent her to Santavana center for women,” police informed. Both mother and kid are said to be healthy.
