Woman waits in queue, castes vote despite labour pains in Chikkaballapura

Chikkaballapura: It is often stated that the Indian democracy is protected by the poor who never miss a chance to exercise their right to elect their representative. After a 106-year-old woman took the trouble to cast her vote in KR Pet, now in Chikkaballapura, a woman with labour pains arrived at a polling booth to cast her vote. She was rushed to a hospital soon after exercising her franchise.

R V Jancy, a resident of Dwaraganahalli in Chikkaballapura, is the woman who cast her vote while having labour pains. She went to booth number 95 and waited for five minutes to cast her vote. As the pain began to increase, she was rushed to a hospital from the booth in an ambulance.

Till 4 pm, 62.34% of the voters cast their vote in the constituency.
