Seven corona virus deaths in Chamarajanagar

Chamraj Nagar: As the number of cases are increasing per day, the district reported seven covid deaths on Thursday, April 29.

In all 377 newly infected cases were detected in the district on Thursday evening. With seven people dying, the total death toll in the district has reached 138. Currently, the number of active coronavirus infections in the district is 2170.

So far, number of people discharged from hospitals are 215 and recovered 8296. On Thursday’s RT-PCR results, Coronavirus is confirmed in 253 and with Rapid Antigen Test 24 are confirmed that they have Covid. Among the identified Covid cases, 136 are from Chamaraj Nagar taluk, 76 from Gundlupet, 82 from Kollegala, 41 from Hanoor, 39 from Yalandoor with rest of three from outside the district.

So far, 146951 people have got themselves vaccinated, it was stated in the district administration health bulletin.
