Chamarajnagar: A tigress injured following a fight with an Indian gaur was found dead at Bandipur Tiger Reserve here.
According to the Forest Department officials, the tigress was aged around nine years and was badly injured. The officials stated that this was revealed following an examination and postmortem of the carcass.
The incineration of the carcass was done according to the protocol of the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
