Yelandur: Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and his wife visited the Suttur Mutt, located on the Biligirirangana Betta, on Monday, January 13.
The couple offered prayers at the Haralu Kote Anjaneya Temple and later, stayed at the K Gudi Guest House of the BRT Tiger Reserve.
In the morning, Gogoi met the students of Meghalaya, Manipur and other northeastern states studying at the Suttur Mutt. The students, dressed in traditional attire, welcomed the former CJI and his wife. Later, he was welcomed into the Suttur Mutt.
After having breakfast at the Mutt, Gogoi had a discussion with the pontiff, Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. The couple was felicitated by the Mutt’s administration.
