Mangaluru: The department of Pharmacology, Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte, organized a CME on “Pain management- an update” on 04.09.2019 at the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) campus. It was one of a kind CME that holistically brought forward the reasons behind pain and suffering and various modalities that are now available to deal with it. Speakers from various institutions and specialties including Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Dr. Sheetal Ullal, Dr. Ananth Prasad Rao H T, and Dr. Ganesha Bhat enlightened the audience regarding this omnipresent issue of pain.
The Programme was presided over by Vice-chancellor of the University Dr. M. Vijaya Kumar, Principal of YMC, Dr. M.S.Moosabba, the medical Superintendent Dr. S Padmanabha and head of the department of Pharmacology, Dr. Roopa. P. Nayak.
The CME brought forth the issues surrounding pain and pushed the idea that “Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional”
