Mangaluru: The student council of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) organised a unique, inspirational and motivational interactive session on “Organic Plastic” on July 27 at the LCRI Hall of the College.
Ashwath Hegde, Eminent Entrepreneur and innovative change maker, was the resource person for the event.
Principal, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ presided over the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Hegde explained his journey as a successful entrepreneur and founding nature-friendly organic plastic. He narrated his personal experience and passion for making a difference in the world. He advised the students not to focus on just jobs and salaries but focus on meaningful careers that show an orientation towards gainful employment and lead to finding solutions to the problems encountered by consumerism and greed of human beings.
He also urged students to go beyond jobs and salaries and be entrepreneurs who will be the future change makers finding solutions to the maladies of mankind.
After the talk, there was an interactive session with the resource person, wherein many students raised queries to which he responded with great eloquence.
Rupal D’Souza, vice-president of the student council compered the programme. Lloyd Vineeth Sequeira, president of the student council proposed a vote of thanks.
Student council directors, Dr Ratan Tilak Mohunta and Dr Santhosh W Goveas were also present.
