Mangaluru: Internal Quality Assurance Cell and CPE of the University College, Mangaluru organized a faculty development programme titled “A workshop on Research Methodology” at the Ravindra Kalabhavana of the college on Sunday, July 28.
Dr. Amitab Anand of SKEMA Business School of France, who was the resource person, explained the simpler but important steps which can be followed during research. He informed about the selection of the topic, importance of the keywords, simpler methods available for the literature review, authentic journals which can be utilized for the publication of articles and also warned about the fake journals which loot money from the researchers. He also highlighted the methods to figure out the gap between researches, points to be highlighted and an overall method to finish quality research in the minimum period.
In his inaugural address, Principal Dr. Udayakumar M A, taking educationist and orange seller Harekala Hajabba as an example, opined that whatever the position of a person or academic qualification, he should be helpful to society.
More than 60 lecturers from various colleges from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi participated in the event.
CPE Coordinator Dr. Latha A. Pandit, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Veerabhadrappa were also present.
