Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management’s athletic team emerged as the overall champions (with 87 points) for the seventh time at the VTU Inter-Collegiate Athletic competition held at GNDEC, Bidar from October 22 to 25, and SJCIT, Chikballapur on November 23 and 24.
The women’s team became champions in the women’s section with 49 points and the men’s team became champions in the men’s en section with 38 points. The march-past team won second place. Manisha A was awarded ‘Best Athlete’ in the women’s section.

2. Deeksha P :1st place in Heptathlon and 2nd place in High Jump
3. Harshith V : 1st place in Pole Vault
4. Anvitha Shetty : 2nd place in Long Jump and 100 Mtrs. Hurdles
5. Sushmika P R : 3rd place in 400 Mtrs. Hurdles
6. Manasa S Shetty : 3rd place in Javeline Throw
7. Mohammed Zaheer : 1st place in Long Jump and 3rd place in 100 Mtrs.
8. Jackson F Pereira : 2nd place in Long Jump
9. Mohith M : 2nd place in 400 Mtrs.
10. Swathi Ganiga : 2nd place in Pole Vault and 3rd place in Heptathlon
11. S Sahana : 2nd place in 10000 Mtrs.
12. Sanjana : 3rd place in Shotput
13. Muhammad Suhaib B :1st place in High Jump
14. Sushmitha Mendon : 3rd place in Discus Throw
15. Devika : 2nd place in 400 Mtrs. and 400 Mtrs. Hurdles

Jackson F Pereira, Mohammed Zaheer, Sathwick C Rai and Aman H A won the second place in the 4×100 Mtrs. Relay (men’s section).
Mohith M, Akshay Kumar B, Vaibhav, Krishnamurthy Naik and Bharath M H won the first place in the 4×400 Mtrs. Relay (men’s section).
