Mangaluru: A two-day induction programme was conducted for the new students of the undergraduate programmes of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru on June 17 and 18 in the college auditorium.
Dean of BA department Prof. Shobhana N spoke about the conduct, discipline and extracurricular activities at the college, while Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. Vineetha K informed the students and parents about academic and examination related matters.
Concordia University programme advisor, Rev. K M Devan gave an insight into the twinning program with Concordia University.
A session by “Narcotics Anonymous” Mangaluru was also organised for the students on June 18. Resource persons for the session were Guru Prasad and Sharun. The students were sensitised on the adverse impact of drugs on their life.
The second session for the day was taken by Dr. Audrey Susheela Pinto, Professor of M.Sc counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya on Personal and Professional Development.
The various heads of departments gave an insight into their subjects after which, the third year students conducted interactive games to create an atmosphere of learning and fun which was later followed by a campus tour.
College principal Juliet C J welcomed the gathering and briefed about the institution.
