Mangaluru: Ravichandra K R, Associate Professor and head of the department of Mechanical Engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, who is also the Dean-Industry Connect, received a Senate Letter equivalent to PDC for his PhD, from the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The University Senate has agreed to award the Doctor of Philosophy (Mechanical Engineering) degree to Dr Ravichandra K R during its upcoming UTM 64th Convocation in October 2020.
He received his B.E. degree from SJMIT, Chitradurga and M.E in Manufacturing from the University of Malaya. His area of specialization is Low Carbon Emission Vehicles.
He has also received the Elsevier Publication Award a Faculty with “Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing” in recognition for his contributions to the quality of the “Energy” Journal 2018, which is one of the Scopus indexed Premier Journals under Energy and Pollution with H-Index of 134. They had been maintaining 1st Quartile since 1997 (two decades).
