Mangaluru: The National Service Scheme Unit of St Aloysius College, in association with the Wenlock District Hospital, organised a blood donation drive at St Aloysius College, Mangaluru on Saturday, August 10.
Wenlock District Hospital Medical Officer Dr Sharath Kumar Rao was the chief guest of the event. St Aloysius College Principal Dr Praveen Martis presided over the programme.
Speaking to the gathering, Dr Rao said, “When someone donates around 350 ml of blood from his body about 350 ml of cholesterol and unwanted things should also be taken out.”
A total of 32 people (including faculty members) donated blood at the drive.
NSS Programme Co-ordinators Alwin D’Souza and Preema Victorian Tauro, Arrupe Block Director Fr Pradeep Anthony, and Fr Felix Victor were present.
