Mangaluru: NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte was awarded the prestigious ‘Best Accredited Student Branch Award’ and ‘Largest Student Branch Award’ for the consecutive third year during the 53rd Annual CSI Convention- 2020 held at KIIT University, Bhubaneshwar, Odissa between 16th – 18th January 2020, for the contributions made during 2017-2019. Dr. Udaya Kumar K Shenoy, Professor, Dept. of CSE and Senior Life Member of CSI and Mrs. Sharada U Shenoy, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE and NMAMIT CSI Student Branch Counsellor received these awards in the presence of Dr. Achuytananda Samanta, MP, Founder KIIT & KISS, Dr. Gulsan Rai, Cyber Security Adviser, PMO, Dr. Mike Hinchy, President of IFIP, Prof. KK Aggarwal, Chairman, NBA, Sri Rajiv Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE and Dr. R. K. Vyas, CSI Chairman-Elect.
With more than 700 membership counts, CSI Student Branch at NMAMIT had conducted more than a hundred technical events including conferences, workshops, technical talks, seminars, quizzes, paper presentations and various competitions for engineering students in the last three years.
Mrs. Sharada U Shenoy, the CSI Student Branch Counsellor at NMAM Institute of Technology also received the ‘Longest Continuous SBC award’ for the year 2017-19.
