National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit inaugurated at Milagres College

Mangaluru: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Milagres College was inaugurated on August 16, 2019. Dr. Vishwanath Badikana, Professor, Department of Kannada, St. Aloysius College was the Chief Guest of the program. He spoke about history of the inception of NSS and explained about the responsibilities of a NSS volunteer. He said volunteers should dedicate themselves by serving to the society without expecting anything return.

Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor, Principal, Milagres College presided over the program. He administered the oath for NSS Volunteers. In his presidential speech, he asked students should voluntarily serve for the country and participating in the activities will shape them as better human being. The program was inaugurated by watering the plant.

Prof. Lourdusamy, Academic advisor, Mr Denzil E Pinto, NSS Program Officer, Ms Princita J DSouza, assistant NSS program officer were present. 102 NSS student volunteers participated in the program. Kaushike, NSS student volunteer compared the program.
