Gonzaga School holds JyothiPradhan for Class X

Mangaluru: St. Aloysius Gonzaga School held JyothiPradhan for the outgoing students of Class-X on February 25 at the Gonzaga Hall.

The day began with a meaningful prayer service led by the staff members.

Rector of St. Aloysius Rev Fr Dionysius Vas, the chief guest of the programme, motivated the students to achieve great things saying that they need to choose what they love most and do the things that they are best at and pursue what they are passionate about. He also wished them well in their future endeavours.

Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo, addressed the students and said that they need to be grateful to their past, especially to their teachers and the institution, to make the best use of the present opportunities particularly preparing themselves for the upcoming board examination and face the future with hope and courage to carve a unique path to themselves.

Dignitaries and Class X teachers inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo led the students through the pledge to be loyal to the Alma Mater. Shayne Pereira and Sanya Bekal of class X shared their experiences and expressed gratitude. Class Teachers of class X Deepa Karkada and Preethan Pereira expressed their views and wished them well for their future.

The parent representative Blazius Dsouza, parent of Sweedal Bonita Dsouza, shared his experience and expressed gratitude towards the management. To cherish the memories of the past, a power point presentation titled “Memories down the Lane” was presented by Deepthi Karkada and Shwetha. The staff members wished the students adieu by singing a melodious farewell song. The mementoes were presented to the students. As a mark of gratitude, the students of class X along with the class teachers gifted coolers to the school.

Laurel D’Souza welcomed the dignitaries, staff members, outgoing students and their parents. Vijayalaxmi spoke on the significance of light. The vote of thanks was delivered by Jisha V Thomas and the programme was compered by the Vice Principal Jacintha Dcosta.
