Global Conference on Advanced Smart & Sustainable Technologies concludes at MITE

Mangaluru: The two day Global Conference on Advanced Smart and Sustainable Technologies in Engineering (GCASSTE-2020) organized at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering, Moodabidri was concluded with an Award Ceremony to the Best Researchers on January 31st, 2020. The conference sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi) was jointly organized by Dept of Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science Engineering. The conference witnessed a total of 169 Research papers presented in the various domains. Researchers across the globe from the USA, Dubai, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and Nigeria presented their research findings dealing with the advanced technologies that are more sustainable, solving critical engineering problems. The conference had a total of Nine parallel tracks of paper presentation on themes pertaining to Electronics & Communication – Communication, Power Electronics, and Embedded systems. The Civil engineering segment had a presentation on varied themes ranging from Structures, Environment, Composites, Geotechnical & Transportation, Water resources and Concrete Technologies. The Mechanical Engineering tracks had researchers present their papers on Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing, Design & Maintenance and Material Engineering. The Global conference was conducted with a sponsoring grant from All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

Dr. Venkata Reddy, Former Professor of NITK & Co-Chair of the conference was the Chief Guest for the conference. Dr. Vekata Reddy applauded the researchers for presenting the papers in the conference. Mr. Rajesh Chouta, Chairman Rajalaxmi Education Trust, Mangalore presided over the Valedictory Program. In his presidential address, he urged all the researchers not to stop the work just by presenting the paper, but also continue the work and bring societal changes. Mr. Rajesh Chouta also said that as an Engineer, we should be proud of the fact that the US has more no of Engineers from India. we all must first think as Engineers than Teachers, and involve in Research work and find technical solutions to the problems around and make India a developed country. The Research papers across various domains were awarded Best Paper Presentation in the program. Research Paper presentation by Dr. Vinayambika, Mr. Ranjith H D & Mrs. Chaitra Radha Prasad were awarded in the various tracks of Electronics & Communication Engineering. Research Paper presentations of Dr. Y Ramarao, Mr. Ramakrishna Vikas S, Dr. Rashmi P Shetty were awarded in the different streams of Mechanical Engineering. The different papers presented by Dr. M Lenin Sundar, Dr. Raghu Prasad, Mr. Umme Hamida, Mr. Raghavendra R, Mr. Nishanth B, Dr. Keerthi Gowda B S were adjudged Best Paper presentation in the multiple tracks of Civil Engineering.

 

The conference had two Keynote address. Dr. Prahlad V, Associate Professor, National University of Singapore delivered the Keynote address on the topic ‘Importance of Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning ’. Dr. Bambang Istijono, Centre for DS, Andalas University, Indonesia delivered a Keynote address on the ‘Reduction of floods caused by rain using infiltration wells and rain reservoirs’.

Addressing the gathering in the Valedictory Ceremony, one of the Researcher Prof. Samson O Ojoawo, Research Scholar from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria appreciated the quality of the conference. Dr. Anil Cherian Technical Manager, Strainstall Middle East L.L.C., Dubai, United Arab Emirates also provided the feedback and applauded the way in which the conference had been conducted. Dr. Diwakar Shetty, Dean (Academics) presented the complete report of the conference. Dr. Ganesh Mogaveer welcomed the gathering. Dr. C R Rajshekar, Vice Principal and Coordinator of the conference delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Asha Crasta, compered the program.
