Mangaluru: Mrs.Silvana Rizzi, Mr. Alberto Pessani and Mrs.Roberta Nepoti, delegates from Italy, visiting the St. Aloysius Industrial Training Institute as a part of the foreign exchange program of the institution, inaugurated the Institute’s newly built electrical wiring room in the Electrical Workshop in the Institute’s premises on 11th Feb 2020 at 11.30 A.M. The electrical tools and workshop were then blessed by Rev. Fr Dr. Leo D’Souza SJ, former director of the institution.
The formal program at the College auditorium commenced by a prayer conducted by the students. A beautiful welcome dance was presented by Sewing Technology students. Later, Mr. Alwyn Menezes, Vice Principal escorted the dignitaries to the dais. Rev. Fr Cyril D’Mello SJ, Director of the institution extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and were honored with a Shawl and Garland.
Participation certificates were distributed by the guests to the students who participated in the Tech Fest 2020 on 7th & 8th February. Addressing the students Mrs. Silvana Rizzi, great grand Niece of Br. Antonio Moscheni who had painted the world-famous paintings in St Aloysius Chapel said, “Fifteen years back when they visited there were only 50 students and now she was happy to see a large number of students studying in the institute. She desired that girl students to be taught in large numbers and wished in the coming years she would see a large number of girl students in the institute. Mr. Alberto Pessani and Mrs. Roberta Nepoti also wished all the students a bright future.
Mr. Alwyn Menezes, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Robin Vas, Junior Training Officer conducted the program.
The program was concluded with the National Anthem.
