Mangaluru: Madan Y N, first PUC student, Science department, of Excellent Science and Commerce Pre-University College, Moodbidri, has secured the 51st rank in the interview following the national level Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) competitive exam, held at Indian Institute of Sciences.
Madan, who had qualified in the KVPY entrance examination conducted in November 2018, recently participated in the interview and secured the rank.
Madan is the only first year student in the state to have achieved this feat. Excellent PU College Chairman Yuvaraj Jain, Secretary Rashmitha Jain, Principal Pradeep Kumar Shetty, NEET Coordinator Dr. Prashanth Hegde and staff have expressed their appreciation.
“I had a strong desire to conduct research in the field of science since childhood. I used to allot a minimum of 2 hours right from high school days to study science. All my hard work has paid off and helped me to achieve this. I have made a right decision in selecting Excellent PU College for my studies. This college has helped me achieve my dream by giving me the right type of training. I would like to thank and express my gratitude to my lecturers,” said Madan.
