Mangaluru: A dengue awareness programme and free medical checkup camp was held on August 8 at Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (YAMCH), in association with the Dakshina Kannada district administration, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath, department of Ayush and the health and family welfare department.
Medical officer of Government Ayurveda Hospital, Kolluru, Balkunje and in-charge medical officer of AYUSH integrated hospital Wenlock Dr. Shobha Rani N.S. gave an informative speech regarding prevalence and spread of dengue fever along with its preventive measures.
Dr. Supriya S. Assistant Professor of Swasthavrutha and Yoga department spoke about the relevance of Ayurveda in the prevention and treatment of dengue fever.
Dr. S.G. Prasanna Aithal, Dean, Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital welcomed the gathering. Dr. Durgaprasad A. V, Assistant Professor, department of Shalyatanthra delivered a vote of thanks.
Dr. Shilpa K. Assistant Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa hosted the programme. People from Naringana and Manjanady actively participated in the event and took benefits of the free medical checkup camp.
