Mangaluru: The Innovation club of the University College Mangaluru celebrated the birthday of biologist, botanist Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose with a webinar on Monday.
The first B.Sc student Shreyas introduced the physicist and plant scientist Sir J C Bose and demonstrated that plants are also sensible creatures by themselves with his Crescograph. Akshata, Anusha, Deepti and Melryn D’Souza described Bose, who had been researching radio frequency before Marconi, as the ‘father of wireless telecommunications.’
Deputy Director of the Innovation Club, Dr. Siddaraju MN said that with this program younger generation will understand the extraordinary efforts and achievements of Indian scientists without any facilities. “Bose was an extraordinary talent as he explained the ‘butterfly effect’ through an imaginary story in his science fiction “The runaway cyclone”.
