Vijayapura: As the rebel MLAs of Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition announce their return from Mumbai to Bengaluru on Tuesday, July 30, former home minister and MLA M B Patil has revealed, here on Saturday, July 27, that two of the rebel MLAs were in constant touch with former chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Addressing the media he said, “Among 15 rebel MLAs, two have been in touch with Siddaramaiah.”
Criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party and newly sworn-in Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Patil said, “BSY is in last leg of his political career, and at this point in time, he should be patient enough to contest the elections, achieve majority seats and then become the CM. Instead, he opted unethical practices. He has no confidence.” He further opined that the BJP government will expire within a period of six months to one year.
