Vijayapura: BJP MLA and ‘Hindutva Firebrand’ Basangouda Patil Yatnal, who is known for criticising the BJP’s 25 MPs as well the Centre for delaying the flood-relief funds, has responded to a notice issued to him for making remarks on PM Modi.
Speaking to ANI on Saturday, October 5, Yatnal questioned the necessity of issuing a notice against him and claimed that he had not wrongfully commented on anyone within the party.
“Did I try to destabilise the current-ruling government? During the no-confidence motion in the assembly, have I voted against the B S Yediyurappa-led government? I am not afraid. I’ll give an answer to all of it when the time comes,” he said.
Yatnal also said that he was not afraid of any such actions, as he had raised his voice for the flood victims of the state and had stood for a cause on behalf of the people.
“I deeply respect PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah,” he added.
It can be recalled that Yatnal had raised his voice earlier, against PM Modi, for delaying the release of flood-relief funds and had subsequently been served a notice from the party.
