Hampi: The world famous heritage spot, Hampi is known for big boulders. On Monday evening, a youth trying to escape from a de-addiction camp fell and got stuck between two boulders. It took the fire department personnel a good four hours to rescue the man. The incident was reported from the Kadalekalu Ganapati temple.
Devendrappa (30), a resident of the Huligi village in Koppala is the youth who was struck between the two boulders.
According to the authorities, his family members had sent him to a de-addiction camp that was organised at the Shivarama Avadhuta Mutt. A total of 60 persons are attending this camp that was started on June 21.
“On Monday, Devendrappa ran out of the camp as he was craving alcohol. When he was running away from the camp, he fell between two boulders. It took the fire department personnel four hours to rescue him,” said authorities.
