ballari flash 20072020Ballari: With a view to keep themselves engaged and their spirits up, a group of asymptomatic COVID-19 patients quarantined at centre in the Ballari district, organised a flash mob on Sunday, July 19.

Reportedly, the staff at the centre were also part of the performance that was staged at the Government Dental College in Ballari, which has been converted into a care centre for asymptomatic COVID patients.

The flash mob was, according to ANI, performed on regional, as well as Bollywood music.

In a video of the performance uploaded by ANI to Twitter, the participants were seen following all COVID-19 precautionary guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing norms.

After the video went viral, the incident sparked a debate with some taking it positively and others questioning why asymptomatic patients are kept in centres while many sick people are unable to get beds.

It can be called that the state government recently ordered private medical college hospitals to reserve 50 per cent of their beds for COVID-19 patients as there has been a surge of new cases.
