Hospet: In a tractor-bus collision at Gollarahalli NH-50, three labourers of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) died and several others were injured, on Thursday, April 25.
The deceased are Eriswamy (27) and Renukamma (35). Meanwhile, Mallamma (45) who was severely injured, has succumbed without response to the treatment.
According to the villagers, the accident had occurred at around six in the morning.
As many as 30 labourers from Chilakanahatti village were travelling on Bengaluru-Gangavati road when the mishap occurred. The injured are being given treatment at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Hospital.
