Ballari: Railway DSRP Venkanagowda Patil on Tuesday June 1 inaugurated the Rapid Oxygen Centre at the city’s railway station, with the Sonusood Charitable Trust in association with the Karnataka Railway Police.
Speaking after the inauguration, he said that the rapid oxygen centre would serve as a control room. Those in desperate need of oxygen can call the control room and get oxygen.
He said those in the 80 to 100km range from the city can seek assistance from this centre. Oxygen is supplied by the cylinder from the centre.
Amit of the Sonu Sood Charitable Trust said, “Sonusood is working on helping Covid patients in difficult situations. The work is being done to address the shortage of oxygen in the state through the Sonusood Charitable Trust. Already a Rapid Oxygen Centre has been opened in many districts of the state including Hassan, Davangere and Hubballi. Ballari has been given 20 cylinders of oxygen,” he said.
He said that more cylinders were being supplied to meet the demand of the people in the district.
