Hospet: Former minister H Anjaneya has stood by the statements of former chief minister Siddaramaiah and State Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar who said that they are eligible to be the next chief minister of the state, here on Sunday, April 21.
He said, “Siddramaiah and DKShi have expressed their desire of becoming the next CM and I think there is nothing wrong in that as they both are eligible candidates for that post.
“Moreover Siddaramaiah has promised of giving away 10 kg of rice, free of cost to the economically weaker sections and on the other hand, DKShi has promised of revealing the ‘diary secrets’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President B S Yeddyurappa”, he said adding that the fact that two have spoken their hearts out is the proof that internal democracy still exists in the Congress party.
Anjaneya questioned the BJP leaders if they had an opportunity of freely expressing their CM candidature in the party.
