Ballari: Congress MLA Anand Singh appeared before the City Civil Court here on Wednesday, January 16 for a hearing on illegal mining case.
He was brought to the special court room reserved for the local representatives.
Anand Singh confessed before the Judge that he was not able to attend the previous hearing due to personal issues, and assured of attending further hearings without fail.
After obtaining bail in the case, he was observed leaving the court, avoiding the media.
Anand Singh, who is a close associate of mining baron and former minister from the BJP Gali Janardhan Reddy, was arrested back in the year 2013 for illegal mining and export of iron ore from Belikeri port of the Uttara Kannada district.
