Belagavi: BJP MLA Umesh Katti has said that former PM HD Devegowda, CM HD Kumaraswamy and former CM Siddaramaiha were in contact with him and they had invited him to join their party.
This was his reply to Sathish Jarakiholi’s taunt to the BJP that BJP’s operation Kamala would be replied with a similar operation by the Congress.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, May 25, MLA Katti said that even when the coalition partners tried to lure him, he stayed firm. “The BJP would come back to power in the state within one week of the PM’s swearing-in ceremony,” he said.
HD Kumaraswamy who didn’t stand by his promise to the state should resign. He said that Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarakiholi was welcome to the BJP.
Katti had started his political career with the JD(S) party. He later joined the BJP and became a minister. There were rumours in his constituency that if he joins the Congress by any chance, he would complete his journey of three political parties.
Now that he has given a statement putting to rest all these speculations the people in the political circle can again wait for much talked about ‘Operation Kamala’.
