Belagavi: Rubbishing the rumours that four Deputy Chief Minister posts will be created in order to satisfy the newly joined BJP leaders, who had won the recent Assembly by-polls, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has said that nothing of that sort will happen.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, January 29, he said, “The party is not going to appoint any more DCMs. The leaders who are currently serving as DCMs (Dr Ashwath Narayan, Lakshman Savadi, and Govind Karjol) will continue in their posts.”

Speaking about the Cabinet expansion process, he said, “In order to finalize the date and discuss the Cabinet expansion, the party leaders and myself will be having a discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief J P Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In another two to three days, the Cabinet will be expanded.”

BSY also informed that if the party high command suggests dropping one or two currently serving ministers from the Cabinet, he would abide by it and implement the decision.
