Belagavi: As the rains intensified in the Maharashtra-Karnataka border, Amboli Ghat, which serves as a link between Maharashtra and Karnataka, has experienced a major landslide, here on Sunday, August 11.
Due to the prevailing conditions at Amboli Ghat, the vehicular movement has been completely stopped.
The officials concerned too have cautioned not to travel on the ghats until the repair and reconstruction of roads are completed.
As Amboli Ghat experiences in flow of many tourists to witness its breathtaking and lush green view during monsoon and waterfalls in every section of it, will now be closed.
As a result of major landslide the vehicles moving between Sawantwadi-Goa have been diverted.
